Oxford Neighbourhoods Served

Oxford has a wide range of housing stock, from charming thatched cottages to large modern homes.

Homes in North Oxford (Summertown & Jericho) are generally of the Victorian or Edwardian variety, these houses all have alcove spaces next to their fireplaces. These alcoves are the ideal place for Alcove Cupboards or alcove shelving, and were a common feature in period homes.

Similarly Victorian homes in some parts of Cowley and Iffley where primary also from either the Edwardian / Victorian period, and similarly have alcove spaces where we can install alcove cupboards and shelves.

Oxford also has a large housing stock of 1930’s houses scattered, with a large amount in the greater Headington area, these houses also have alcove spaces for alcove cupboards.

All these alcove spaces are also a great place for even alcove wardrobes in bedrooms.

Why a made to measure Alcove Cupboards Solution is the only choice in Oxford

Unlike modem homes that are all built to the same template, most of the homes in Oxford are older 1930’s semi’s, post-modernism style of the 80’s and even older period Victorian and Edwardian homes, with Georgian houses in the streets opposite the Oxford Play house, these were built by different work gangs.

This means even in a row of homes that look the same, you can bet that all the walls and interior are different measurements.

This means that a mass produced off the shelf solution made with standard sized units just doesn’t work, making the only solution is to make measure alcove cupboards.

Yes, we make custom made to measure furniture that is designed to fit the space.

Full Carcass construction

All our furniture is made fully lined, meaning you will get a fully enclosed cabinet/cupboard
